Rumors of the decline of nature are scurrilous, untrue. Nature will do just fine, with or without humans. Alan Weisman’s “A World Without Us” is a balletic description of just how quickly the planet would return to nature, were humans to take a very long nap. The photographers of Sunspots are living in a world where “The Natural” is a complicated, contested zone, to be pointed at, re-arranged, air fried, adored, and adored more. In the ten years since these artists graduated from Bard College’s photography program, they have each gone on to make fascinating, photography-related works that either address the natural world, or scrape bowhairs across it.
